Anatomonics is the brainchild of a former medical student who struggled with anatomy.
Thats right, Im the guy riding on the train in the story on the Anatomonics home page. Shortly after finishing my medical degree a good friend of mine was just starting and enrolled in a gross anatomy course. She complained to me about how hard it was to learn so I gave her the same tip my lecturer gave me: ‘use mnemonics’
I looked through my hard drive and gave her the 200 or so recordings I had made for myself a couple of years earlier. Then I realized how crappy those recordings were and how I could have done it a lot better. So I hired a professional voice actor to re-record all of the anatomy mnemonics into high quality mp3z. Right there was the beginning of Anatomonics.
My friend went on to ace her anatomy class and I knew that the recordings I had could be valuable to a lot of students. So I decided to launch this website and make the recordings within reach of as many people as possible.
We have now expanded to a small group who are committed to making memorizing anatomy possible, fun and above all easy. Take a look around, view some of our samples and feel free to email us at our contact page.
This made studying for my gross anatomy class pathetically easy. I just chucked all of the mp3s onto my ipod and listened to the mnemonics everyday. No reading or anything! I never liked studying the conventional way and with this I didn't have to. Thanks!

I'm a lawyer and had a case involving an injury law suit. I can't disclose any more information than that but it required me to have a good understanding of skeletal anatomy to cross examine. It didn't make me a doctor overnight but I learnt enough to hold my own in court. Thats for sure.
My mom actually bought this for me after she heard me complaining about how hard it was to learn the anatomy. I'm glad she did because it made it much easier to remember almost everything. I think all MD students will get a real benefit out of it.
